The Trend Forum presents trends in home design for 2012 and 2013 and is intended for specialist wholesalers and retailers, architects, designers and interior architects. It visualises various home scenarios and displays selected products integrated into unusual room designs. These centre on four main styles that are picked up in the respective scenarios.
The guided tours by the designers of bora.herke.palmisano – the people who created the Trend Forum and researched into the trends – will give you an opportunity to supplement your own impressions with important facts:
at 11.00 and 16.00 hrs daily from Sunday, 15 April 2012, to Thursday, 19 April 2012.
The tours will be held in German only.
With a little luck, you can also find one or more of the coming season’s trends in your own shop window – take part in our competition and win a shop-window display worth € 5,000 by design agency bora.herke.palmisano. Entry cards are available in the Trend Forum, Foyer of Halls 5.1/6.1.
Fluorescent Modern
Clear, unfussy designs and intense colour tones define this style.
Quotes from the 1970s and 80s combine with modern lighting effects to create eye-catching and lively interiors. Innovative ideas, high-quality materials and perfect design are the
key elements here.
Monochrome surfaces and effective colour gradients give a sense of vitality and enliven the otherwise restrained environment.
Hot Elegance
Reduced shapes, clear lines, strongly sculptured forms and lots of black – these are the characteristic features.
The stylings are luxurious but always effortless. Decorative elements are unconventionally reinterpreted. Extravagant shapes and superior materials create an elegant look full of refinement and modernity.
Soft Minimalist
The designs seek to achieve simplicity and quality. Purist and sensitive – they combine functionality and aesthetics.
Pure, gentle and harmonious – a warm, sensitive component comes to the fore here despite the presence of innovative
technology. The calming influences of natural daylight, soft shadows and the play with transparencies bring a feeling of comfort and well-being into the minimal-design rooms.
Natural Community
The natural and handmade are at the centre of this lively interior design style.
Material and design give authenticity and creativity is an ever-present element.
Designs with a sense of humour and
originality rub shoulders with natureinspired one-off creations or simple but expressive forms. A great range of ideas and an exciting mix that celebrates the coexistence of diversity.
