Maison et Objet is richer than ever: the brazilian duo Campana from São Paulo was elected ‘designer of the year’, an award attributed to creatives who have made a significant impact to the design and the architecture fields.
Their childhood in Botras, an agrarian brazilian city, was the bottom line to the development of their eco-design project presented in Maison et Objet, which can be seen until next Tuesday, at Paris Nord Ville Pint. The invitation to develop an installation at Maison et Objet was accepted: they created a small grove of trees and a ceiling decor from cardboard.
The flexible material was installed over support systems of wire, adapting organic shapes. There, you can admire ceiling lamps with shades that result from semi-translucent leaves. The floorspace was transformed in a unique organic exhibition, in tune with Maison et Objet theme of September, “Essentiels”.
