The Arts Décoratifs Nave in Paris will be showcasing all the facets of the work of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. Conceived like a retrospective, the exhibition titled ‘Momentané‘ will retrace every stage of their international career, including their very latest creations.
The scenography designed for this 1,000 square-metre exhibition, highlights their innovative research into the partitioning of the space.
On one side of the nave, one hundred objects and furniture items are on display, presented in a variety of sequences and paired with several original models. On the opposite side of the nave —— facing the Tuileries Garden — the brothers’ projects for collective and work environments are presented, with projects such as the furniture designed for the University of Copenhagen and office systems such as Joyn, WorkBay and Cork Table. “Momentané showcases all aspects of what we do and it is indeed the opportunity to present research models, as well as about 300 drawings and also films and photography,” conclude the designers.
Beneath an enormous textile vault, their presentation of all these pieces created over the past fifteen years – Algues, North Tiles, Twigs, and Clouds – has been adapted to structure this extraordinary space in the Arts Décoratifs Nave.
