It’s the eve of New York Fashion Week, the first — and historically most star-studded — in the fashion week calendar.
But what are this season’s talking points? We’ve rounded up everything you need to know about New York Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2015…
1. Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham is bound to spark a frenzy when she unveils her latest offerings on Sunday at 10am (3pn UK time).
The front row seats of her show are normally occupied by her family and last season saw husband David, sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz and little daughter Harper – perched atop her dad’s knee – sitting alongside fashion queen bee Anna Wintour.
The newly rebranded “NYFW” showcases fashions for spring/summer 2016, taking over three venues: Skylight at Moynihan Station, MADE at Milk Studios and Skylight Clarkson Square. Designers presenting collections include Ralph Lauren, Public School, Anna Sui and Betsey Johnson.
3. Kardashian-Jenner takeover
Expect lots of Kardashian-Jenner sightings – Khloé revealed that this fashion week “will be a family affair”, with Kanye putting on his own show.
“Kanye has a fashion show on Thursday, so we’re all going to be there,” she told Fashionista. “My mom’s coming into town. I know Kendall’s walking in a few shows. This is a family affair.
4. Tom Ford
Tom Ford is bucking the status quo by tagging a Los Angeles-based show onto the end of the NYFW schedule instead of showing in London, as he has done since February 2011.
This means the fash pack will face a tough choice come 20 February – attend the first day of London Fashion Week, or fly to LA to see Tom’s new wares unveiled…
5. Farewell to Lincoln Center
This NYFW is the last that will be held at the Lincoln Center, which has been home to the Big Apple’s shows since 2010.
