Hosted in New York City, NYCxDESIGN brings together all the disciplines of design, commerce, culture, education, and entertainment with a full, varied program, including exhibitions, installations, trade shows, talks, launches and open studios. 2014, the second year of the celebration, featured over 200 events by 162 organizers at 181 venues across all of New York City and included topics from graphic design to architecture, technology and urban design to fashion and product design, interiors to landscape, furniture to design thinking, and more.

NYCxDESIGN is a collaboration among NYC & Company, NYCEDC, City agencies, the Mayor’s Office, City Council, and a steering committee composed of some of the City’s most renowned design institutions, retailers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, curators, educators, editors and—of course—designers.

Events are staged across all five boroughs, from convention facilities and galleries to design schools and public parks. The NYCxDESIGN website will list details for all featured events, including necessary transportation information.
NYCxDESIGN invites local and global designers, organizations and other establishments interested in creating a design-related happening to participate in the celebration.
In fact NYCxDESIGN welcomes all residents and visitors (domestic and international) to experience New York City’s vibrant design scene. Most NYCxDESIGN events are free to enter. Ticketed events are managed by host/organizing venues. Before heading out, check listing and contact details for each event you’re interested in attending.
