MILAN DESIGN WEEK
Normann Copenhagen at Salone Internazionale del Mobile
Salone Internazionale del Mobile
Hall 20, Booth E8
Normann Copenhagen will be at the Milan furniture fair 2012 and it has two important new features: the Sumo Ottoman, designed by Simon Legald and Bunny chair, designed by Berlin-Iskos, namely Iskos Alexei and Boris Berlin.
Sumo, designed by Simon Legald, is an ottoman with its own unique character.
Thanks to the simple form of Sumo, it’s easy to notice the details and complexity of the padding and the stitching, and the game created by the three materials: wood, fabric and buttons. The impression given by the form is robust, and looks nice.
Sumo draws its inspiration from classic Danish furniture industry, with particular attention to detail and working with fine touches of craftsmanship to create that perfect balance between aesthetics and function.
Legald Simon says: “I like playing with the techniques needed to create the designs and make them part of the aspect, instead of hiding them. The stitching, padding and the buttons take on an important role in an otherwise simple design.
The brand can be found at Hall 20, booth E8, Salone Internazionale del Mobile.
