The brass is making a comeback in interior design, bringing glimmer and a classic style to a home. Slightly less than the shimmering gold we were blinded by last year this new trend gives a room a strong presence and a subtle elegant sparkle.
As Victoria Redshaw, of the trend forecast agency Scarlet Opus says “Warmer, earthier shades are back in vogue. There has been a move away from the high shine, perfect finish of gold towards metals with a warmer aesthetic that have a pleasing patina. Brass is glamorous without being ostentatious and that is what feels more palatable for consumers right now.”
Following our first post about ICFF (see here), we decided to had a part 2 with the best examples of this hot trend for home decorating in 2014.
Home decor brand BRABBU has a variety of options with brass. Above you can see pictured the mirror Kaamos and wall fixture Panji, both with this gold metal.
Also from BRABBU, the Koi side table is made with brushed brass and has a green or black marble top.
Vellum is a elegant wall light composed of hammered brushed aged brass.
You can download BRABBU’s press release here to know everything about their presence in this year’s best New York interior design fair.
BRABBU will be in this edition of ICFF at stand 1154 | 1162.
