100% Design, which started today, surprises us with its international pavillions dedicated to the design novelties of the countries that each of one represent.
My Design Agenda presents you the novelties showcased at the France Pavilion that you certainly will not miss.
France Pavillion
The France Pavillion is supported by the French Trade Commission UBIFRANCE in the UK, based in central London. It has the following mission: to assist French-based companies seeking potential partners and new markets within the United Kingdom, and, more generally, to promote Franco-British trade relations.
French brands have, indeed, the opportunity to do business with foreign markets in this pavillion dedicated “seulement” to French design.
Know the five top exhibitors that we highlight.
ENO STUDIO
Implementing a process of pragmatic curiosity, Eno Studio produces objects and furniture whose prime function is to create meaning and emotion. Meaning comes in ergonomy and added comfort for users. Emotion comes in surprise effects, questioning and reflexion aroused by sight and touch of the object. Eno promotes ‘Hand Made Design’ and collaborates with designers such as Arik Levy, Paola Navone, Antoine Phelouzat or Frédéric Ruyant.
KAER & SPLANN
Kaer & Splann is halfway between a research laboratory and a design editor. To achieve a high level of performance, functionalities and quality of lighting, they have developed their patented technology pushing design limits: modelling, taming, guiding light where least expected, and bringing together a new poetic dimension.
AlEX DE ROUVRAY DESIGN
Alex de Rouvray Design released its first line of high end furniture, the Severin line, in 2011. Entirely made in France with premium materials, items in the Severin Line all possess a unique minimalist design and distinctive traits: discrete steel bases, rich and contrasting materials and finishes, dramatic cantilevered shapes.
SAINT LUC
SAINTLUC is a new furniture brand based on an eco-friendly innovation: the LINEN COMPOSITE MATERIAL. SAINTLUC furniture is the result of an “ecological” industrial research: composite materials reinforced with flax fibres.
DRUGEOT LABO
A brand belonging to renowned furniture manufacturer Ateliers du Drugeot, DRUGEOT LABO uses wood from sustainable sources to create furniture that is both original and practical.
